The Insights Behind My Creative Journey

I’m a retired senior partner from Deloitte, where I spent many years helping companies through mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, and everything that comes with integrating acquisitions or divesting of business segments. It was a fast-paced, complex, and challenging. The best part was the feelings of helping others to accomplish significant goals. - - - super fun!

Before the business world, I attended UCLA in 1980 – 1981, then served a mission in Spain Madrid from 1981 to 1983, and attended BYU where I completed an undergraduate degree in Business Finance and then a Masters of Accounting.

While attending college, I played intercollegiate Division I golf at UCLA and BYU. The game taught me a lot about focus, patience, hard work, and grit—lessons that carried through my professional life and beyond.

These days, I’m enjoying life as a husband, grandparent, lifelong learner, and someone who genuinely enjoys sharing what I’ve learned with others. I have a passion for teaching and a belief that a little experience, when shared honestly, can go a long way in helping others.

I have the current honor of serving in Provo Utah with approximatel170 young single adults. This opportunity has revealed so much love and desire to help others like no other experience other than my family.

This blog is my space to reflect on and share my life’s experiences and journey with thoughts about career insights, spiritual pursuits, golf ideas, life lessons, and everything in between.
